For something a bit different, we offer special days which vary depending on the time of year. Children will have fun trying out new activities including surfing in Croyde, watersports in Ilfracombe, ice skating in Bristol or bouncing at a trampoline park. All instruction and transport is provided and sessions are suitable for novices unless otherwise stated. The prices for the different away days are noted below.
SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUB: 6th July - 4th Sept. We will be putting in place many new protocols to help keep our staff and children safe in light of the coronavirus, find out more here
Kids will love the Mojo Active 15-stage high ropes adventure course, set in private woodland at Mojo Active’s Almondsbury location. The structure is between 3 and 5 meters high and accessed by an initial climb up a Burma Bridge. Children will receive full instruction and safety equipment before enjoying zip wiring through the trees, scaling the islands in the sky, balancing on rickety bridges.
Suitable for children over 1.3m tall.
Please don’t forget:
An epic fun team game in which you’ll need a combination of brain and muscle power to take on our “I’m a Celebrity” style adventure challenge. Against the clock, you must work in two teams to uncover the codes, find the keys and complete the tasks to unlock different elements and finish the course. This is a fantastic activity for older children who like working in teams, doing activities and solving problems.
Ideal for those competitive kids! A game of teamwork, strategy, activities and FUN! Teams will complete in various activities and challenges to earn points for their group. They will need to work together to decide how best to use their points to secure useful resources or not-so useful treats!
A fun, physical team session around the Mojo orienteering course with team challenges at each orienteering post. This involves a log carry, tug of war, lots of teamwork, strength, determination and problem solving. If your children love a challenge, then they’ll love tough runner! For children aged 11 years plus.
Although this may sound somewhat alarming, all relevant safety precautions will be taken to ensure your children can have a go at something alternative! They will be taught how to safely throw an axe, when instructed to do so, at a wooden target and also how to fire an air rifle safely in accordance with the guidelines of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). The qualified instructor will teach the children about gun law and how to behave responsibly and appropriately around guns.
After the success of last Summer’s kayak course, Mojo Active is excited to offer 2 more 3 day kayaking courses where the children can gain a British Canoe Personal Performance Award: Paddle Start for beginners and Paddle Discover for those with experience. The course is run in partnership with Discover Paddling from the 27th - 29th July or 10 - 12th August.
Through play and creativity the children will learn about water safety, essential kayaking skills, equipment handling and river knowledge. They’ll spend the days kayaking on the beautiful Rivers Avon and Wye and will be fully supervised by Mojo Mark (a kayak and canoe instructor in addition to many other things!) and Mike who runs Discover Paddling. Kayaking is a sport that is up and running currently as it’s easy to keep socially distanced and there will be 2 groups of 5 to ensure the children are kept safe.
Monday & Tuesday will last from 9 - 4 pm and children will be transported by Mojo Minibus to and from the River locations. The Wed is a longer day running from 8 am - 5.30 pm. Video footage of last year’s course can be found here
“He absolutely loves it at Mojo... You are my motivational tool... If he does well at school, he'll get days with you... It works!!”
